Fernandina Beach’s Business Spotlight of the Week – Boston Photography

Boston Photography is a creation of love from it’s owner Kellie Boston. Her career started out very different with a degree in marine biology and a corporate job with Disney. Her love of family soon changed her career path. Photography has always been apart of Kellie’s heart after receiving a gift of a camera from her grandmother. Seventeen years ago she left corporate America to begin a new journey in Fernandina Beach.

Boston Photography’s Studio specializes – well really what does she not do? In our conversation she talked about her involvement with so many Fernandina Beach’s local businesses, schools, charities and commercial events. One of her signature shoots is underwater photography which is one of the most incredible things I have seen. The shoots are playful, magical and haunting all at the same time. One of my favorites and as a pet person I have a soft spot for her animal sessions!

Kellies impact on our community runs deep. She gives and gives – with support for groups like the Humane Society, Council on Aging, Network Of Women and these are just a few of her philanthropy endeavors. Education is another passion and she teaches in our community as well.

One of my favorite interview questions is what do you love about being an entrepreneur. Answers often vary but she had one of my favorites, being authentically true to myself.
