Callahan Florida Neighborhood Guide
Callahan was founded in 1856 as a extension of the railroads being constructed from Fernandina Beach up to Jacksonville. Although Callahan has remained a small rural community it does have a claim to fame with the Battle of Alligator Bridge occurring there in 1778.
The town has some great schools and activities for families, it’s a sought after area to raise families. The small town feel and close-knit community make it an ideal place to call home.
