Local Restaurant of the Week - Bar Zin
I love to feature local businesses and this weeks happens to be a favorite restaurant on the South End of Amelia Island.
Bar Zin History
Bar Zin was born over 10 years ago by the Seyda’s. The original plan was a intimate wine bar and bistro in Palmetto Walk on the southend of Amelia Island. The quaint location is mixed into mature live oaks and looks more like a country store than a restaurant.
Getting to know Bar-Zin
Bar Zin has become a local favorite not only because the farm to table menu is fabulous but they also cater to wine enthusiasts with an impressive wine list. Adjacent to Bar Zin is the Amelia Wine Company and it’s no coincidence that these two are together. The Seyda’s own both which makes for a perfect pair.
The menu isn’t huge but what that really means is that the items prepared for each guest are created fresh with only the best ingredients available. There is something to be said for quality over quantity – I think this mindset is why Bar Zin is not only a local favorite but a must for visitors year round.
Amelia Island is all about indoor – outdoor dining, Bar Zin has captured this magic with porch and courtyard seating that can be enjoyed year round.
The ownership, staff and menu creations are all warm, inviting and a consistent – all reasons why Bar Zin continues to thrive.
Bar Zin has a sister restaurant Cucina South that sits just to the left in a separate building. I would encourage you to try both, you will not be disappointed.
